Waterless Snow Globe

I just had to post this idea for all those clear glass balls that are sold at Christmas time. This project uses a 3.5" glass ball and an empty cat food can to create a simulated Snow Globe. Here's how I did:

Step 1: using my Wishblade, I cut a church silhouette out of white card stock using a file I purchased from Kerri Bradford's site here.

Step 2: Glue silhouette to used transparency film cut to fit inside of ball.

Step 3: Remove top of ornament, roll film into a tube shape and slip into ball. Use tweezers to position film in place.

Step 4: Add artificial snow.

Step 5: Cover top of ball with small piece of tin foil to prevent snow from leaking out. Replace cap minus the hanger.

Step 6: Cover cat food can with scraps of old gift wrap cut to the width of can. Trim edges of can with ribbon or metallic trim.

Step 7: Invert ball with cap side down and place inside of can. Add a touch of hot clue to the edges if desired to keep ball in place.
