As a child, I was always fascinated with watery, winter scene captured in a snow globe. As an adult, my attraction to them hasn't lessened any. As a crafter, I'm always looking for different ways to interpret them using simple crafting materials and techniques. My favorite thus far is the recent popular "dry" snow globes like the one I made pictured below.
I used a clear acrylic ornament, cut a tiny paper house and evergreen tree. Glued the two inside and then filled the orb with sparkly snow. Decorated the ornament cap with a pine cone, berries and greenery. Tied on a Christmas red ribbon to use as a hanger, and wah-lah. A snow globe to hand on the tree.
