Printed Christmas Cards

I didn't make the time that I had expected to to craft over the holiday weekend.  After taking some down time, spending time uploading 100 pics to get printed, attending a tree lighting in Hammond Indiana and doing some decorating, there just didn't seem like there was much time left.

I always overestimate what I want to get done and underestimate how much energy I have to do it.  Sound familiar?

A few Christmas cards I did manage to make and some very simple ones at that.  One that makes a big impact but isn't difficult to make is  printed using graphics I bought here .  I simply print the card on card stock, do some fussy cutting, layer certain sections and then add touches of gold glitter here and there.

I print a greeting out and glue it to the back.  It makes a very unique card to give.

Christmas Crafting - Holiday Tags

You know how I told you that I like anything "snow globe".  Well, I'm back to making snow globe gift tags for Christmas. What I like best about these tags is, not only are they a sparkly bauble, but they are meant to be kept for reuse as a tree ornament for years to come.

My favorites have to be the snowmen snow-globes. They have a vintage feel and the iridescent snow complements the tones in the graphic.

Halloween Spooky Treat Explosion Boxes

I wanted to make something different in the way of treat holders for my older grand children.  After visiting the dollar store, I came up with the idea for a spooky treat explosion box that I could decorate with die cuts I had on hand and papers I already owned.  I  did have to buy the glittery skulls as it seems I never have everything I need in my existing stash.

I simply scored a 12" x 12" into 4" squares, cut out the unneeded pieces and used the paper to reinforce the box sides a little more.  I hot glued the skulls in the middle, decorated the panels with paper and added a few die cuts and assorted embellishments. I tied mini-candy bars to one flap and I was done.

Halloween Haunted Paper House

As I've mentioned before my two favorite and maybe only holidays that I like to craft for are Halloween and Christmas.  I always plan to make things for them through out the summer, but I never seem to be successful.  The hot, muggy summer days don't inspire me enough to be making cool weather items.  I'm working on it though.  Maybe I'll make that my 2021 New Year's resolution.

In any case, here's a set of simple houses I put together to add to my simple Halloween decor.  I don't decorate as much as I use to, but I still put a few things out for the grand kids.

The houses were die cut on my Silhouette using a Lori Whitlock file and pieces from other files as well.

I'm late posting this , but between the virus and work, I didn't have much time to do the crafting I had planned to.
